Implementation of warehouse management system SmartStock.WMS in Santa Bremor company

SystemGroup Rus, part of an international group of companies SystemGroup, has completed a project of implementation of warehouse management system SmartStock.WMS in Santa Bremor company - one of the largest enterprises of the Republic of Belarus, a manufacturer of fish and seafood products.

To optimize the logistics processes within the industrial complex, Santa Bremor decided to implement SmartStock.WMS. Within the framework of one project the system solves the automation of:

• all stages of raw materials processing, from receiving of supplies to the transfer into production,
• all stages of finished goods processing, from receiving of production to customer’s shipping

During the project the support of many requirements and special features of Santa’s logistic was implemented, including:

• Separated moving of goods within of several logical warehouses
• Dividing of tasks between users, working in several different buildings
• Different work rules depending on order type, kind of goods, features of building, type of locations (bulks, racks, shelves) etc – for all types of warehouse operations
• Emergency replenishment according to picking orders
• Different allocation strategies for different types of picking orders, which take into account: expiration dates, lot numbers, quantity on palletlocations etc
• Automatic selection of most appropriate location during put away, replenishment, picking and shipping, taking into account the route, location capacity and other determination rules

In the course of the project consultants of SystemGroup cooperated closely with project team of Santa Bremor, and success of this project is a merit of both sides. Result of SmartStock.WMS implementation is transition of Santa Bremor logistics into automated mode, with constant control of all operations. Thus it has given a possibility to increase work accuracy extremely, optimize a business-processes and obtain detailed online information about all processes and indicators of warehouses complex.
